Families Learning and Schooling at Home (FLASH) FLASH is an inclusive group serving Calhoun County and other nearby communities. Activities are mostly in Marshall, Battle Creek, & Olivet. Members are from Galesburg, Hastings, Olivet, Charlotte, Albion, Battle Creek, Marshall, and Athens. It provide information and support to member families through meetings, field trips, and other educational, recreational, and service activities. It also promotes home education as a parental right and provides information to those who are interested in learning about homeschooling. Kalamazoo Area Homeschool Association an association of Christian families who recognize that the education of their children is the primary responsibility of the parents and who feel compelled to provide that education in the home setting.
Kalamazoo Area Tutoring Association, Inc is organized for the purposes of providing a Christian educational resource for home schooling families, including tutoring and assistance to students and parents. They are a group of parents that bring together qualified tutors for a unified teaching day. The web address doesn't seem to be working at this time. (I will leave it here just in case it starts again.) Classes are held at West Kalamazoo Christian Church, 454 S. Drake Rd., Kalamazoo.
